The Team

Great Lakes Geoscience is a group of highly qualified consultants that provide bedrock investigations, site assessments, geophysical acquisition and interpretation, borehole drilling and completions engineering and land negotiations; each of which has over 30 years of practice in their repective fields.   

Great Lakes Geoscience was founded by Duncan Hamilton, who is a Geoscientist with the Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO) and a member in good standing since 2002. Mr. Hamilton was also a professional member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) for over 25 years.  He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Masters Degree in Earth Sciences and has over 30 years of geoscientific experience, primarily in Ontario and Michigan but also Eastern and Western Canada and Africa. Duncan has been involved in Phase 1 & 2 environmental assessments in Ontario and Michigan and in evaluating sites for the disposal of high-level nuclear waste.

The Great Lakes team has an extensive history of reporting to numerous government agencies which include the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry (MNRF), Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) and E.P.A. in the United States.
